Some trends I was loving last year are hanging around for another season which makes my money well spent. I can wear my glitter boots and python pants (not together mind you) and be totally on trend. More to come but have a look at a few ideas as you ponder your fall wardrobe.
Polka dots!
Not my cup of tea but you’ll be seeing them all over the place so go on and pick up a little polka dot scarf or pullover so you can fit in with the cool kids.
Python and snake print.
My Goodness it’s everywhere. In addition to my python pants from last season I got a pair of pointy toe python flats which I can dress up or down. You’ll be seeing other animal prints as well but python will predominate. A bag or shoes are good pieces that can give a little flair to even the dullest outfit. I like the simplicity of this dress with the peek a boo print panel.
Tuxedo pants.
I like this homage to the boys. Tuxedo pants with heels and a sweater. Love it. You could also save yourself a bundle and go with the leggings version. Throw on some ankle booties and a voluminous top et Voila!
The wedge sneaker.
I have two pair sitting in boxes on my dresser. The Ash Bea wedge and a limited edition pair inspired by the Willow sneaker by Isabel Marant that I picked up in NYC last month. These may not be for everyone but since I can’t stumble around town in the 5″ heels that don’t seem to be going anywhere these are a good option for me. They are hip and comfortable.
Leather skinny pants.
This is a tough one because the best one’s I’ve seen are $$$. If you haven’t got money to burn you may want to think faux leather. There are some nice options available at a fraction of the cost of real ones.
Printed bottoms.
You will be seeing printed pants galore. It’s a fun way to spruce up some of your existing solid tops. Button downs and knits alike.
If you didn’t pick up something sparkly in the past year or so you may want to get a little something. Think glitter and sequins. Trust me it won’t be hard to find. A collar would be an great, easy way to sparkle.
Until next time…
