I’m a little late getting my gift guide out this year but I’ve finally put a list together for the procrastinators out there. It’s a combination of ideas for you and goodies that I’m coveting. As you’ll see, my ideas are mostly geared towards middle-aged women who like fashion and food! Friends, co-workers, mothers, daughters, aunts, whoever fits the bill. You can also send the list to people who need ideas for YOU if my picks jive with you.
- Beautiful liquor bottles (filled with liquor!) for the cocktail lover. I love arranging my liquor cabinet with unique spirits.
- A sculptural and high-quality gua sha stone like this one from Wildling. Oops, I already bought this for myself.
- A Gucci lipstick. Now that’s a primo stocking stuffer.
- Victoria Beckham metallic eyeliner. Listen, I’ve heard great things about this makeup line by Posh and this sea grey color looks stunning. For the makeup junkie.
- YSL College medium bag in OLIVE. I mean look at that color! Obvioulsy, this is not something you’ll get for your secret santa but maybe if you’ve been good, someone will get it for you. This one is a little spendy but there are many other luxury bag options at lower price points if a fancy bag is something you want or want to give. Resale websites are a great resource to save some change.
- Viori shapoo bar gift set A unique product for the the gal who likes to try new things. I’m definitly intrigued by this product!
- A simple and elegant scented candle. True confessions, my friend owns this company but regardless, these candles are beautiful and made using fair trade principles. Each one is hand poured in the US by women artisans who have resettled as refugees in the US. What’s not to love about that?
- Papermate felt tip pens. Call me crazy but I would love to get these in my stocking.
- Socks! A fun and practical gift. OK, so maybe $200 Gucci socks aren’t practical but I would be over the moon to get them as a gift., wouldn’t you? I also love these purple socks from Monochrome which is another company owned by a good friend. Check them out for all of your colorful and monochromatic clothing needs.
- Gift card to a new local restaurant. For your foodie friends and folks who like to dine out. Maybe even a nudge to those people who don’t eat out that often. Gift them the opportunity! Khaluna is on my list of places to check out. What great restaurants are in your town?
- Colorful tapered candles for the entertainer. These are affordable and pretty gifts for casual aquaintainces.
- A food subscription or drink of the month club. I was excited to discover that Salt and Straw has a delivery service – what a fun gift! Imagine getting pints of ice cream from your favorite West coast ice cream shop delivered to you door? That’s what I’m imagining anyway. We were gifted a six month cocktail subscription last year from Cocktail Courier and it was fantastic!
- More food items! Goldbelly delivers famous and in demand unique foods from shops and restaurants around the country. I know a few people who would be super psyched to get a delivery of black and white cookies from Russ and Daughters in NYC. Myself included!
- A favorite perfume. Wouldn’t it be nice to get a lovely bottle of your favorite scent? I’m partial to Oud Palao from Diptique.
- Last but not least, a luxury nailpolish. Maybe you can’t buy your friend a Birkin bag but you could send a bottle of Hermes nailpolish. Orange Brûlé is definitely my favorite color from the collection.
And there you have it. A few ideas at every price point for my fellow scramblers! There is still (a little) time left. Happy gifting!
